SCin – Cash-in solution for banking self-service
With the SCin solution we completed our self-service products with a cash-in solution. After the integration of cash-in devices into the SBS products KI/XFS Terminal Control and KI/XFS Local Services SBS decided to implement a standard cash-in solution.
As usual to all SBS products the following criteria were the most important for the design of SCin:
- The product has to support standard interfaces like CEN XFS and CEN J/XFS and therefore be vendor independent.
- The product has to implement standard requirements of our customers.
- The product has to be flexible at runtime and has to be able to be combined with different products.
- The user interface has to be adaptable to requirements of our customers.
Support of CEN XFS and CEN J/XFS
SCin is based on the approved KI/XFS Terminal Control. That is a stable and vendor independent platform that allows the SCin application tu run unchanged on every self-service cash-in terminal.
SCin standard functions
- card insert, validating card data, validating limits, card eject, card reject, bundle payment
- validating banknotes according to ECB guidelines
- receipt printing
- creating a V3 data file
- extensive service functions
Flexible at runtime
The SCin application is separated in several transaction steps, which are combined to complete a cash-in transaction flow starting with card insert and ending with the transfer transactiondata to a central system. Individual transaction steps can be replaced if it is neccessary. In this way SCin can be combined with different business processes (e.g.: cash-out). If a online interface for selfservice cash-in function is available in a bank, SCin can be adapted to that interface. So the SCin solution is able start the booking process within the transaction. The online connection can also be used to send a request for customer specific parameters (e.g. cash-in limit) during the transaction.
User interface
SCin is delivered with an animated SBS user interface. Our KIX is taking the card and cash and guides the customer through the cash-in transaction. A so called GUI engine allowes adaptation to all user interface standards of a bank.
SCin license
A SCin license includes one license of each of the following SBS products: KI/XFS Terminal Control, KI/XFS Local Services, KI/XFS Repository and KI/XFS Shell. So you can use SCin immediately after installation.
Success
We are proud to announce that the SCin solution is up and running at several banks using cash-in terminals from Diebold and Keba.
